Not A good Ad for Ford!

I know that this is not Datto related but I just gotta put it out there. We have a new G6 Ford, 2100klm on the clock and it has got to go back to ford for repairs all ready. At 100-110k down the hiway hits a bump and the cruise control and the DSC- Dynamic Stability Control switch off by themselves. At 140 it is all over the road, my coupe is more stable. For the kicker, when hot you get a short but loud knock on start up. Me think I did choose the wrong car this year.
I wan't my Aurion Back

Bummer - I've had 4 Falcons in 4 years (3 XR6Ts, 1 XR6) - I've found them to be really good at speed, but maybe the difference of the XR6 rear susp makes a difference.
That DSC thing sounds bad though..... Make sure you crunch them on warranty though - Ford and Holden have about the worst warranty out!

Got onto Fleet Manager and G6 has been recalled back to Ford in Toowoomba. It don't look good!! That knock on hot start can't be good either. I hope I get another Aurion but she had to special order the Ford for us because the wife and I wanted it in Seduce red mica finish and not a Stock white or silver.

I had a BF SER 3 for work and thought it was a great car as i am a holden man usually (and datsun) and would of bought a new ford if i had a choice of the new VE or a G6, this is bit sad for them, on the other hand were is legal to do 140 in QLD its not your right but when you a rep for over 5 years and you have territories to cover 140 plus becomes ya best friend, i know this is not legall and i have done 18 points in just over 12 months and 70 000km and all you want to do on a friday is get home to see ya kid before she go's to bed, you tend to take the risk, not smart but ya do, and to say you have never done 140km in QLD your the only 1...

Thats fuggin bull mate! I myself would not buy an australian car unless it was produced before 85' I personally favour the Japanese & German made cars for reliability, engineering quality and for there second to none reputation. sorry to hear about that mate hope you can latch onto something better without to big of a hole in your bank balance.
Good luck Jake

i wouldnt buy a euro car, especially audi, they have a tendancy to chew through brake rotors every time you need to change your pads.
Talking from family member that had a vw and as well as a friend who had 3 bm's and another with 2 audis.... all post 2000 model cars so not old ones. most were upper spec and performance ones, not cheapy ones. Too expensive to maintain but damn they do make a good body shell and great engines. shame about the costs of their upkeep. I prefer the jap cars and would love a TRD aurion, if it were awd. but dont have or envisage to ever have the cash! Havent got enough for some new parts in the datto, but L series should fix that

I know a dollar fourty isn't leagle but you just gotta know what they'll handle. Apart from that even at my age I still need a little rush now and again. It is a employer supplied car, we get a new one every year. The best I ever managed was $2.20 in the Aurion. That was so fun. These long straight roads out here just cry out to be used. Knowing the local coppers makes it a bit easier.

Nothing wrong with the new falcon looks good i recon and goes hard from what I hear. Sound like you got a lemon their try get them to replace the car sounds like one of thoes cars that you will always have issues with no matter what!!
Euro cars = BIG repair bills and chew brakes big time, their breaks not made for the harsh aussie conditions. Toyota = The only car id recomend to any one (besides the obvious DATSUN) their reliablity is top notch. Got an early 90's Hilux still on orignal engine done well over 800,000 k's now...... getting tired but still going strong! You can view topic.
