It's here, everything I thought it was. Even though it is much slower then I thought. I guess my old b210 spoiled me. No tach, no defroster, or any other neat goodies. Oh one thing I have this cool credit card looking warranty card with a big Datsun sign on it. That's about it. The tires on it are gone and I need new ones. Went to 3-4 places today and eveyone just wants to talk about the car.......NO damn tires anywhere. Will search again on Saturday. Last resort will be to plus size, but I wanted to keep the fancy hubcaps...oh well. This is how it starts huh?

Glad you got it delivered OK. I hope you have a garage for it. I'd hate to see a nice original car like that get left out in the street.

The Tire Rack [mail order] has three sizes in stock for 12" rims. Take a look HERE.

Thanks for the tip on the tires, I did look there but must have missed them. I am getting a garage soon, so for a few weeks the car will be on the street. Just ordered the Pertronix ignition, tracking down a webber carb, and should have a set of tires to pass inspection tomorrow.

Kumho makes a 155/80-12 that runs about $35-40 buck range, should be able to find those at most tire places.

The pertronix works fine but for future reference the B210 electronic dizzy fits.........just have to remember to grab the ballast resister.

Also good to hear it will be garaged, Datsun must have learned rust proofing from Fiat.

Now as for slow, you do realize that bone stock on flat ground about 85 mph was realisticly the top speed...............they do 105 down hill. The problem for those of us in the desert is that above 4000 RPM's they start to get really warm. The 3 core GX rad fixes that. The Pertronix a eber and bigger exhaust will boost the power from the stock 68 to about 75. Be wary of adding a header as it requires cutting the stock intake (if you can find a GX exhaust manifold that's the way to go.) Some sway bars and good shocks will make it more fun to drive as well but it will still be stock looking. Better brake pads are a must as well.

You can do lots of fun stuff with bolt on parts and still have a stock appearing car. You should have great fun with it.

More updated pics of the car, it does have some minor rocker rust but nothing I mean nothing under the car it still has all the factory paint underneath. I had all the rubber carpet out today and these is no rust coming from inside either. The trunk is rust free!

Interior is a bit shabby but fixable.

Do I have to replace this cable? Will the car be impossible to start in the winter?

It's running great today, I filled it with 94 octane and it has been great! The old gas must have aged a bit in the few months it was not driven.
