Well after porting the GX head and gasket matching on the coupe (A12) I was pleased to learn that the car went from 84 MPH to to 92 MPH going into turn 16 at Spring Mtn Motorsports Park. The car is still feels just as gutless as ever but the tach doesn't lie and even though I'm going nearly 40 mph slower than the old Yamaha powered sports racer, the 1200 is just so much fun to flog and sooooooo much more reliable.
The first link is 10 seconds of the Pokey and the second one is the various run groups, my 1200 is at around the 20 second mark and again at around 1:11. This was a Porsche club track day I was instructing at. If the links don't work properly (izzz puter ill it ret) help would be appreciated.

General Racing Action

Ya, that's always the choice you have to make. Do you want to do 10 laps super fast, or would you rather race the whole day, do a 100 laps and enjoy seeing all the broken down cars you pass? I know I'd rather do a 100 laps... Sounds healthy though...

I hate cantankerous race cars, bikes for that matter too, they're a classic case of what might have been. Twisted as I am I still get a charge out of leaving uber-spensive cars behind in the twisties.
