hello every body
i have a 1200 coupe that i am restoring and i would like to put a steel grill in it instead of the plastic one. if any one has done this to there ute or coupe or knows how it is done could u please let me know how it is done and if posable please include pictures. i have the grill ready to go in but im not sure how to mount it.

Hey. Don't they just mount to the original mounts ?. Got a steel grille in my coupe. Will check it out for ya and see if it looks to have any mods.

you will need to get the mounting tabs off a sedan and weld them onto your car as they are a different shape and position to the coupe and late ute ones

Yeah just looked they are different alright. I have an old sedan i can cut the tabs off and send them if your interested. Or you can come get them im only just up the road from you, up to you mate. PM me an offer.

this may sound dodgy but i cut some tabs out of an old 1/4 panel then rivited them in place and screwed the steel grill on. it was suposed to be temporary but other things keep taking preferance. I think the chrome light shrouds just screwed in place.

the steel grill looks heaps better i reckon
