Well this is facts coming from 2 good friends. So before you go being a big shot and questioning my integrity i suggest you think before you speak. To add also they are only 2 engines it doesn't mean to let the baby out with the bath water on the whole idea.

The GTI car is ranked in the top ten most important modern cars of the century

who did they pay to get that ?

motorbike engine.... definately.
If ever there was a car destined for a bike engine, the b10 was it

I have also looked into this,

You can buy specialised gearboxes for motorbike engines in the UK for about two grand, that just have forward and reverse in 1:1, and neutral. You then use the sequential shift motorbike engine. You can hook up two starter motor solenoids to the gear shifter and have two buttons on the steering wheel for near instantaneous gear changes. But my engineer wasn't too keen and I have to look into it for the CAMs rules.

Imagine the sound of a hayabusa engine in a 1K.

What about the nissan cg13 micra motor.
I remember reading theyare about 55kg without accillaries. They are only about 100hp standard but being a nissan motor they are pretty restricted but they are tough as nails so would take a fair whack of boost on a standard short block. Would love to do a all out as light as possible race car with one of these motors. I reckon you could get a 1200 down to 650 kilos with one of them in it.

What about a 1300cc Huyabusa motor, they are been built into mini's already and they go like stink. Would love to see a small Datsun with one in.

hmm everyone is forgetting the b10 is really fragile in terms of body strength to put a high output engine in them would cause twisting of the chassis or cracking and what not unless a full cage was put in and the whole car seam welded
sooo unless its a race car leave the bloody a series in it and put your name down for an ay12 head that mikko is making and put that on with fuel injection and full spark control keep it NA and you will beat nearly every car on the street but then your a dickhead for wanting to street race
even if you dont want to fork out for an ay12 head a hot a15 is more then enough to go fast
these cars arent big heavy fords, holdens, nissan or toyotas that need turbos, dohc's, v8s, etc to go fast keep it simple keep it a series

and just and example of what a stock standard sr20 has done to a mates 1200 ute is the rear chassis rails have started to lift and crack sure he gives it some #### on the road but its only 97rwkw's
imagine a 200kw motor in a b10?

if you want to go fast do it on the track build a 1000 for track and just hve a mild streeter thats 2 b10s saved and possibly a life cause your not flying around on the street trying to race every v8 and high performance 4

Who do you think you are clown ? Questioning my integrity. Those are facts coming form good mates and one of which is a mechanic with his own work shop. They are 2 engines out of how many ? So give yourself an uppercut.

Who ever questioned your integrity Ms sensitivity 2008?
Im talking about experience not your mates mates mates crap. Are you a failed Australian Idol contestant with more Playstation than life? it sure sounds like it.
Before you shoot your mouth out with old wifes tales use the blob between your ears and hopefully a neuron actually ignites some sense into your typing. If you want to get personal Ms keyboard warrior accept your lack of reality first.
There are tons of forums dedicated for the GTI motor wake up and learn something rather than spam our forum.

Back on the subject as for the GC13de, its a real darkhorse with great following in the Nissan March circles.
A12 with factory forged crank and setup properly for boost you cant go wrong. A good A and a K cant go wrong.

O.K mate. If i have a beef with someone namely you i take it up with them one on one. Thats why i PM'ed that to you. Will be in Melbourne around Chrissy we can catch up then for a cuppa if ya like. Oh and im with the stick to an A series engine namely a nice little A15 built to withstand the likes of a Turbo or some nice big webers

thats cool but be careful what you say about the suzuki G series motors and GTIs they are legendary.
You are welcome to say what you like about all their other suzuki products knock yourself out

Dont forget it can also sport some quad bike carbs plenty spurting around but if you want big hp Im sold with modern turbos they represent low rpm but big performance even relatively stock head.
