I know that many members have other interests apart from Datsuns, alcohol & sex & I have come to realise that there are a few members who just want to re-live their childhood with a BMX.
Some aren't old enough to have left the misspent years of youth, ... doesn't matter, let us know what you ride, restore, or just plain covet.

I'll confess to regressing to my youth & take up the challenge, .... I have a

March-1981 Mongoose Motomag.
April-1981 Quicksilver [Gen 1]
Sept.-1981 Quicksilver [Gen 2] Soon to be a Limited Edition replica. [December 1981 only. No originals currently known to exist]
December-1981 Quicksilver "Team Helium" [The holy grail in Quickies]

I have others like the 1982 Repco "Team Hotfoot" but will be releasing all but the first four & even the Goose is on shaky ground

So, if it's old school, mid school or new school, lets read about & see what you got. [pictures welcomed]

Ha Ha,
Dodgeman, you and I must be close to the same vintage. Of course I was the poor boy in the neighborhood and had to rebuild a hand me down Huffy to ride around with all the rich kids that had a mongoose or a redline(?). Somewhere around 1978 or 1979. Never did get a cool BMX bike.

My dad bought me the first australian Diamond Back. I was 8 so it would put it in the 80 to 81 bracket at some stage. It went through a few guises but it started as a frame from 'Finnigans Cycles' in Brunswick. It had a chromoly frame, mongoose chromolyy crank, mongoose chromed chromoly forks, lots of other good stuff for racing and those skinny ass wheels.

A few years later some prick stole it from the news agent where I wsed to do my paper round. It was past it's racing days and had all the mid 80's gear all over it including a GT 'T' bar and blue skyway tuffs and a milk crate for newspapers.

I'll dig a photo out of the oldies later. Now in the shed is my old Haro FST from the mid 80's. I have been wanting to drag it out and do some proper work to it but I can't seem to face the old memories. Some good times but mostly bad times in those days.

I had an early 80's Mongoose Supergoose, Chrome frame and the Skyway Tuffs, much the same as the blue one from BMX bandits. I'd commit murder to have it back :(

not sure if they're really worthy but my childhood bikes are a Speedwell Multibike and a Malvernstar Supermax, I'll take a pic of them later. I quite like how light the Supermax it compared to the other bikes I've ridden
