I have two Repco 'Team Hotfoot' [A bike & a frame] plus a regular 'Hotfoot' frame. Does that mean I have Hotfeet?

Oh the deep deep mysteries of life.
P.S. They're for sale, I have a Quicksilver addiction to support.

I think that you may just have hotfeet. You seem like the type of bloke that only sits down when he gets to his computer, what with all the projects and whatnot. My old neighbour that was up all night vacuming and out all day mowing his lawn once complained to me that 'It feels like my feet are on fire,' And you know what, he didn't even own a bmx!! Turns out that he was Bi Polar though and there was medication to help him. Not that I'm saying you need medication... I'm sure you are just fine?? Addictions to datsuns and bmx's are perfectly normal. Just look at myself... Normal as!!

Dodgeman, thanks for starting this thread, you've inspired me to go and buy this:

She's almost Identical to the one I had as a kid, right down to the blue features and tuff wheels.
Judging from the rear dropout and lack of gussets behind the headset, I think she's an '83 Supergoose III.

Great thread, I am a bike nut.

I don't have a BMX now but spent my entire childhood on one in the 80s.

I moved onto mountain bikes and still ride on dirt most days, and pretty much every week I race xc and enduro mountain bikes to stay sane.

I build all my own bikes and mostly ride steel singlespeeds, whether on road or dirt. Currently I'm enjoying riding singletrack on my singlespeed cyclocross bike, built out of an early 80s handmade belgian cross racing frame made out of lovely ishiwata CrMo tubes. Will probably run it with 1x8 gears when I get around to finding the bits I need.

Well I was a farm boy, so my brothers and I never got new bikes. Like most farmers, Dad had bought a trailer load of old bikes at a clearence auction, so we had a massive stockpile of rusty bikes that we put together to make a bike. My eldest brother was the only one to get a new bike, and it was a hot pink Dominator. The brand escapes me, perhaps Repco?

At one stage we made a three seater bike by connecting up three bikes on the axles. That was entertaining.

Then there was the lawnmower/bmx hybrid that my older brother made for the annual 6 mile Hill 'Life Be In It' bike run. (a hill 6 miles out of Esperance, WA) He cut off the forks, and welded on steel pipe, and welded that to the arms of an old push mower. I am trying to find a photo of it. I know he won most original bike that day.

Ahh the memories.
