For some reason 2.7kgs comes to mind. I think this is theweight difference between the two.

I weighed them at the beginning of the year.

Anyhow the A10 flywheel is the one that needs a bit of work to fit to an A14 (bolt holes resized). Pretty sure A12 has the same sized holes.

Yes, early engines (pre-1974 -- both A10 and A12) use different bolt sizes than late engines (1974-up). The difference is small: early used 3/8 inch bolts, late used 10 mm bolts. See A Engine Redesign
