OK I'll jump on the bandwagon. About 12 months ago there was a really tidy original 1200 coupe with 106,000 miles on the side of Mountain Highway with a big sign on it : $400. I jumped on my motorbike, went to the ATM and went and gave the guy the cash. That evening I got a bullsh1t phone call saying that there was a mistake and the car had aleady been sold by another family member and to come get my $400 back. I was so angry I wanted to commit murder. Sellers like this are filthy rats in my opinion. If he wanted top dollar, go on ebay and let the best man win. As you guys have said, sold means SOLD.

Sorry it happened to you Rev. PS REV. I take it you got the booster OK??

my sob story is that i am fat and sunburnt.... its a bad combination..... especially getting in and out of a black 1200 ute with racing buckets

i think this makes me a man for admitting it but also makes me a girl for having a winge

i understand to some degree when something is sold when one bloke says i'll buy it but not til next week. BUT when you say i'm on my way right now and its sold before you get there then there is definatly something wrong

My sob story;
I had this super clean '69 Belvedere wagon and I found a '57 Coronet I wanted more.
I told the guy I was going to sell my car on ebay, and to call me if he sold it to someone else so I could stop the auction.
Open in new window

I sold it and stalked him for a week until he came home. In that week he decided to give it to his nefew whom had been bugging him about it for a year.
I never would have sold my '69 except to get this '57 (or any '57-'59 mopar) but if he had been a man of his word, I'd of stopped the auction and kept it.
