well i have a business that does exactly that, parts supply!
i have a pair of the IDF's at the moment, im more than happy to have them rejetted. id do them for $500AUS shipped as they are. if you want me to get them rejetted and get filters will have to add a bit extra. being that these are 36mm instead of 40+mm they wouldn't need a billion revs for them to get the air velocity up to get proper fuel mixing. or im happy to get a 32/36 and any other work or parts you need and send them over. but i don't have any spare ones here.

Great to know that! I've joined the right forum and met the right guy!
thanks for the IDF offer Akina! but i want to go for the DGV or DCNF..buzz me if u got any.. anyway, while waiting for the weber to pop up, i was wondering how much would it cost me to buy from u only: 1. the rebuild kit (as shown in 320327533801 in ebay) 2. jetted for 1.3L 3. a decent air cleaner or maybe used K&Ns can u give me the price for each DGV and DCNF? Thanks! A local seller got this: http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr207/jasonchow/DSC00447.jpg http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr207/jasonchow/DSC00448.jpg http://i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr207/jasonchow/DSC00449.jpg I know that I have to check the butterflies among other things. Is there an easy way for me to take a look inside -- the floats especially? Can I just unscrew the four main ones and have the top removed?

id have to say that there isnt too many of those DCNF carbs here as ive never seen one or even heard of them before.
the DGV is the ones we got over here, parts are plentiful. aftermakret/dress up air filters are around 50-80AUD plus shipping, rebuild/gasket kits vary deepening on where you get them from and what is included in the it. im not sure about jets either, i haven't had to buy jets or have them set by a shop before so again im not sure on the cost, the jets that came in my carb are fairly close and with some fine tuning it runs well and is great on fuel. sorry i missed you on MSN.

IDF's are essentially a shorter version of the IDA. The IDA has been renowed with top level racing since the 50's [F1 to club level]. IDF's are a good option especially when bonnet clearance is to be considered.
The DCNF's are typically thin on the ground as they were fitted to the classy Italian sports cars such as the Maserati V6, Fiat Ferarri Dino V6 [40DCNF]. These carbs can demand very high prices. Not to say that a bargin cant be found. The carbs mentioned above are usually sort after by the VW beetle people into racing and hot street motors. try VW forums here is a listing I found on fleebay. 40 DCNF weber's

Thanks for the info Benny! Appreciate it. But i've made up my mind to go for the DGV.. In fact, I've found a 32 DGV with 32/32 barrels.. Came off an Escort 1300GT..
