The last couple of weeks we have been busy. I have decided to have to whole car rewired and paint the engine bay, which has put the project back a little and cost more money.
We made the gearbox cross-member, its a little bit of overkill but wanted to add strength to the floor. The motor and box sits in nice and looks good. We had to lower the box a little to get tail shaft the correct angle. My friend put a tunnel in that looks ok (better in person than photo) but im not happy with it and Im looking to have it redone plus a few rust repairs. That reminds me, Thanks tommo. UEC is looking at my photos right now, he is really helpful and is still happy to talk and give advice over the phone. I had to trim the drain for the pleniumn and at this stage I though stuff it, Why not paint it? So we pulled the motor out and have been working on preparing to paint. I chose bionic blue from the XR6 falcon, I will paint the rest of the car once the conversion is done. I then deceided to have the whole rewired and hidden. So I had all the little holes welded up that we didnt need. It should have been painted by now but rain is stopping us. While waiting on the weather, the ECU was wired and the loom was made. We made water pipes to fit my radiator. Made them out of stainless steel and they come up sweet, I will put photos up soon. I had a quick look at the front end and found I needed wheel bearings and bottom balljoints. Fcking why not do the front end? After sht loads of searching I found 4 top ball joints and a set of shocks at a little local spares place, so I bought them all up and have everything to put it back together. Ive got control arms and caster rods to be blasted and painted and will paint subframe once the colour is on.

Gav to put pictures on your post follow these instructions.
Shrink your images to a rasonable size 600 x 450 is the size I used in my PB thread. Upload your images to Photobucket or the like. When you go to make the post click the IMG tab above your text box (where you are typing) it will ask you for the URL of your image. To get the URL for your image right click on the image (the ones uploaded to Photobucket) and select properties. The URL is the website reference you see in the properties window. Highlight and copy but do not inculde any digits or letters that come after .jpg or .bmp SO your image reference should look like this http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photos/18511.jpg Put the above reference into the IMG tab. Follow the prompts. Picture should show up. ![]() You can view topic.
