I reckon the spring rates are good on the handling side, but the rear end needs more to be decent, a rear sway bar and panhard rod would tighten it up and add a bit of weight to balance it better.

ok power standard and with standard ecu quick enough because of light weight, but the swift gti were a cult car in their day because of the tuning potential, they have been done top death as track cars so stacks of aftermarket gear and knowledge available.
what plans for braking and handling to match?

Yep its andys old coupe.
The G13B have heaps of potenial + reasonably tough, you can buy anything for them and they make good power standard. Can turbo with standard ECU and Standard Internals.

Over christmass I picked myself up a KB10. It needs a little work but its is a very cool car. It came with no motor or box, but did come with an A15 which I had big plans for. My friend and I started thinking out loud of some more modern engines that would be cool in a 1000 coupe, that would also fit with the RTA strick and bullsht guidelines. We through many ideas at each other which were shot down either through a rta regulation or just to hard to make it fit. Then we thought of a G13B (GTI swift). The more research I done the more I thought It could be done. Two weeks later ive sold the A15 (pending) and picked up a G13B motor and sierra gearbox and planning to start work when my mates sumer nats head ache goes away. If anybody knows of a simular conversion or can think of any problems I might come across let know and I will put photos up soon.
