seats are a very good choice Gav. well done.

the rocker cover would look better without the suzuki lettering but easily fixed
I suppose with a nissan or datsun badge or plate.

Gav- look forward to more pics. Its going to be a nice happy color with black
contrasting interior and perhaps wheels.

I found little rust holes all the way along the passenger floor where it meets the sill. Found a big hole inside the channel that the seats bolts to.

This is section cut out.

New section welded in, not dressed at this stage.

Underside view, also not dressed. You can see the bit in the channel.

The roof had crows feet, took it back to bare metal and then put etch primer on.

I took both guards off, replaced one due to rust. Welded up antenna and mirrior holes. Painted the inside black and all the surfaces that marry to the body in colur then bolted back on. I dont know if this is the correct way but worked well.

Hi Gav, you mentioned a couple times about an engineer's requirements. Does 1300cc in a Datsun 1000 require engineering? I know the A15 does. A15 has 85HP compared to the G13BB at 79HP.

Good job on the car.

After a few months of feeling sorry for myself about the f#ck up with my paint. The engine bay came up good so I decided to move forward with the conversion and worry about paint later. Dan got the motor and box in and he has started wirring it up. I choose to use auto meter oil, water, boost guages and get my rev tacho modified to run a modern ignition system plus will be used in conjuction with a shift light. I done this as I wanted to keep the dash looking KB10.
