will a 1200 ute diff fit into a sedan??

hey jus wondering if anyone knows if a 1200 ute diff will bolt straight into a 1200 sedan?? if someone has done this before can they let me no? thanks

Not 100% bolt-in, more like 99%. You may have to change a couple little items.

Exactly, look in the wiki only small mods to ute diff from 1974 onwards ( Example the brake line Junction is on the other side of the housing) before that they were just sedan diffs.

into a sedan is far from bolt in to have it complete...well further than if you were bolting it onto a coupe anyway

need to shorten the ute handbrake cable
need to relocate the brake splitter mount
need different brake lines, ones off the old diff should work
need to use the ute tailshaft if your running a 4 speed, otherwise need a custom one
need to weld on sedan diff mounts or wed a shock mount onto the bck of teh ute diff mount
use the ute U bolts and bottom plate
need to put in a half inch or so spacer in the bottom of the leaf pack to substitute the load leaf that the ute has

think thats about all, the diff will however bolt into the sedan quite easily...but you will need to do the above stuff to have everything function properly
