How hard is it these days to come accross a pre 1974 A12. also i have read up on installing a newer A12 but with what results do you get from welding flat bar onto the engine mount?? is it as stable or not.

i have one. they are quite common in sedans.

as for the upgrade i would say its easier to just get a new crossmember.
