They can be assholes if they don't like the look of you or if they haven't met their quota. A friend of mine had a 100% mint 1 owner HR holden and got a canary because the wiper arms were too shiny.

we have had this ridicolous blitz going on around here, i got picked up 4 times in 2 days they never found anything wrong but it was the fact that i was driving a 1200 ute where nothing was standard and that i was young ( im 19) so after about 15 mins of them walking around it everytime they let me go. the cop even admitted that i was targeted because i was young and in the car i was in - that to me says something

of course it says something! it says that car enthusiasts have gotten a awful reputation from a minority bunch of wankers who should never have had a license in the first place. if there is nothing wrong with your car, you should have no worries, like you have. have a roadworthy vehicle, treat the officer with respect, 99 percent of the time youll be on your way. i have to laugh at the tools who blame it all on quotas not being met and so on and so forth. its widely known that a copper will probably target a p plater in a hot car rather than a grandad in a camry, but who cares if your car isnt a illegal piece of crap or you havent been driving like a doofus.

lol at getting done for shiny wipers, i just spent like 3 hours on one wiper and i'm about to start on the other one. i haven't got done yet but what annoys me is the fact that they care whether or not my car is 80mm off the ground or whatever height it is, it's not as if mine is riding on bumps stops or anything but then my mates car which is ridiculously high off the ground coz the wheels are too big but smashes the diff into the exhaust on any sorta bump is safer in their eyes. and also why the hell are my tyres allowed to be 25mm over the standard rolling diameter in act but 26mm in nsw, like why the hell are the rules different in different states? it's not like you're only allowed to drive the car in the state it's registered. the laws are just stupid, i'm not going to follow them but i will drive safely on the road because driving fast on the road like it's a racetrack is dumb and hope no cop ever feels like being a prick and defecting me. end of rant lol.

weve all had our fair share of cops being assholes ... at a car show here in adelaide a cop on a bike go through a carpark and started defecting the cars in the carpark. once people caught on he had a nice crowd around him and he was getting boo'ed something fierce

They had a car show in Albury a couple of years ago where vehicles were being defected while still on their trailers. That was the first and last time that show was held. cheers bob
