Same weight does not mean same size. It just means the Micra is overwight.

jeez 760kg is pretty damn light, especially for a new car. it'd handle pretty well with 205 semis lol.

lol at people saying no coz its fwd. Makes no difference when a 1200 doesnt have the power to get the tail out anyway. Lift-off oversteer and handbrake FTW!

Also DD, micra is 760kg (according to rego papers) thats close enough to 1200 weight.

Micra/March is too small to be a 1200. The closest thing you can get now might be a small pickup, but even those have gotten too big and the remaining small pickups have changed to FWD

modern 1200 is a restored 1200

really there is a million equivalents because the 1200 was built as a no frills economy box and there is plenty of those around.... as long as your willing to accept the shift to fwd....

micra's are cool (dad had one new way back) always tempted to get one as a run around but i have enough 1200s to keep that covered usually

Bah! No modern car can compare with the sheer awesome-ness of a 1200!
But, that may be as close as you will get. At least it's a Nissan

if there was a modern 1200 equivelent there would be a rip in the trans-dimensional fabric of our universe.

Otherwise I'd say lotus but they not cheap, as good on fuel, ect
