hey guys thought id put my pics up of my project.
so far ive paint stripped it (with help from the misses) cut most of the rust out and have started to weld in the missing sections. ive never welded b4 so this is a bit of a challenge but oh well.
my future plans are to put a rotary in it. ive never built a rotary but ive done a few piston so id thought id try learn. ive got most the parts such as grill, lights, kmac suspension, disk brakes ect. all front panels are new so now im just tryin to get the 2 rear 1/4's straight. if anybody lives in the nth'n suburbs of adelaide and can repair fairly dented 1/4's then pm me :) i think this ones out of my legue

Nice to see another 2dr sedan, you need some custom rubber seals for those coupe doors though! :)
Keep up the good work! This car is too rare to scrap.

yea still got a bit of work. i have to weld my original door window guides as i have coupe doors.

Ahh thats what it is there coupe doors. So looks like someone has backed over something and pushed the rear quarter up and in towards the wheel. Would love to help work on something like this the last rear quarters i repaired were worse and in a Mitsubishi Scorpion it took a while but its rewarding. Keep up the good work mate you will get there.

Just a shot in the dark, but wouldn't ute doors fit a 2dr sedan?
And whatever you do dont break the rear side windows, I've been looking for one for 12 months!

Nah ute doors are same as 4 door sedan and wagon. Levey Why dont you get the windows made up with perspex.

id thought id update. i finaly have been getting of my arse. this section near the seal & dogleg was rusted so i welded in a new bit. also where the side back window is had almost completly rusted out so i stole the lip/top part of a old 1000 ute tailgate and welded that in. was almost a perfect fit.
