hey
im looking at doing a worked non turbo motor but im not to shore whats the biggest motor you can put in a 1200 in qld.
i want to do a l20b or sr20de does anyone know if it can be done

you can go to 2.2L NA so a Z22 crank L series etc.

Yeah Make some calls get on QLD Transport site and do searches for Engineering and engine modifications. Most states will pass a Non Turbo SR20 but nobody here can give you an engineers certificate or even a guarantee for that matter. Ask pepper if he can put you on to the engineer he used up there.

For what it's worth, when I was looking into
interstate compliance, bringing my vehicle from NSW to QLD, I spoke to a guy named Peter Austin at vehicle modifications and he was very very helpful.

I had the previous owner fax me the NSW papers on the car and Peter looked over them for me and gave me over the phone approval (unofficially of course).

When I purchaced the car Peter then allowed me to fax the Modification Application straight to him and he fast tracked it.

I didn't know this guy from a bar of soap - that is how helpful he was.

peter.j.austin@transport.qld.gov.au- I would suggest any of the queenslanders out there talk to this bloke.
