why not source an a15 get an a12 crank and e15 turbo rods to make a reall rev happy 1300cc
you wont bust the e15 rods there beefy as of course itll be less cc but rev alot harder? and more reliably with a rod/stroke ratio of around 2:1 204.1 deck height 140.15mm length rods from e15 with 40mm crankpin mod (original rods on a15 are 133mm and sr20de r 136mm!!!) 2.0 rod stroke ratio F1 anyone? 1304cc 77mm bores ![]()

hell no! everytime I kill an engine I learn things to do differently on my next build. I'm getting lots of practice with them
I could always stop thrashing them so hard...yeah right!

Yikes. It takes a lot to break an A-series engine.

I was driving my car like i'd stolen it on monday, and the blower belt came off. it also stalled. When I fired it back up it sounded not good. I thought the flywheel had come loose. But I pulled out the gearbox, and the bottom end has sh1t itself. I've not pulled it down yet, but I think I may have broken a rod bolt.
