can someone tell me what way the crankshaft washer thing (behind the timing cover) goes. took it off and cant rememer what way it goes.

I have 1 of these ....its in a box of bits in the shed and the motor still is running....i think it goes cup in wards i did it that way in my a14

If u mean the front seal the lip should face in. IE the flat side out at the front and the veed section in towards the engine
