I haven't been involved in minis for a long time (forgive the cross promotion) but one of the best guys with knowledge/skill with tuning weber/dellorto side draughts was brian pope at 'minilink' (aka 'link automotive'). I realise it's a different engine, but familiarity with teh carbs is the key factor. For the most part (and again this is old info, I have nfi if he is still in the game or has retired or what) he was less keen on dynos, as he was of the belief that there was always too much potential to overheat with insufficient airflow through the rad etc (admittedly more of a problem on a mini fwiw) and so they instead used a combo of on road testing including use of exhaust gas probes/readings. That had the added advantage of allowing them to dial in the throttle response and transient response (basically how the engine gets it's act together immediately after an upshift as the rpms are yanked down) under actual on road conditions.

If he's still there, and can be talked into doing the job (I have no personal relationship with the bloke, was just a customer there for gear some time back) I'd be very surprised if you weren't happy with the result. The _only_ thing I can think of from memory is that they are/were occasionally not the worlds quickest in turnaround/completion time :)

I can't remember the ph number, but they were in thornton crescent mitcham.

i tink its rob or rod there ( i forget)

he is pretty switched on, i called him after rally car put me onto him.

He seems to be able to do most things carby related, wealth of knowledge and experience. If he couldnt, im sure he could put you onto some one that could.

I bought the last set of genuine nissan su seal kits off him that he tracked down in AUS at that stage, round top ones not square ones.
