yes ca's are TTY (torque to yield)
you can buy one new one and measure and compare to old ones. keep it safe for a reference. if they are thinner or longer they are U/S gtr are NOT TTY bolts. rb26 12mm bolt, ca,s and rb20/25 are 11mm i would have no hesitation reusing an inspected bolt

well im the same as with dave, dont expect the head to stay on forever as its only a DE bottom end and stock headgasket
guess ill take all the bolts into the engine builder and see what he thinks, as he should also be able to find out what length they are supposed to be

If Nissan says they cannot be re-used, then I would not re-use them.

Ive built a few motors and they are not reusable. Can be picked up fairly cheap though, not worth risking. They are built to stretch so I'd throw them away.

All that mucking around...
Is it just the pistons that are different between de and det bottom ends? I assume oil sqirters etc but what I mean is it the pistons that determine the compession or rod lenghth? Reason for asking is I have a set of good (used) det pistons here if you want them.

as far as i know its th pistons that change the compression ratio
and its only the lack of oil squirters and the pistons that are different, maybe the rods also will see how it goes with the DE pistons, as it should be nice and responsive and make some decent power with the extra compression i like the thought of zero lag
