Yes, even new 1200s.

Quote:
It must sit in the middle on the temperature gauge or 1mm to the left of the middle mark.
That is not what Nissan says. Here's the Owners Manual:

Quote:
For most types of driving, the pointer will hover about halfway. However, the engine will run satisfactorily when the pointer is at any position in the middle range. Continual stop-and-go driving or high-speed driving in warm weather, hill climbing, or towing another car may cause the gauge pointer to swing to the "H" side. If the pointer stays on the "H" side for more than two minutes, stop the vehicle and let the engine cool down, keeping it at 1,000 to 1,500 rpm.

So don't worry about it, unless it actually gets to the "H" mark.

I don't know. I would double check stuff mentioned just to be on the safe side.

If you have the money and your radiator is still a twin core, think about upgrading to a 3 core. Mine also ran too hot to my liking and after I upgraded to a 3 core it ran nice. Even on days of 34C it stayed in the middle mark at 110km/h freeway driving.

Yes, it is very possible to keep the temperature steady -- and probably better for the car. Just like GXman's A12. Mine stays within 2mm of the center line + or - (perhaps 4mm total movement when fully warm). I have the stock 1200 (small) radiator.

Usually just fitting a slightly larger radiator will do it. Use one from a B210 with air conditioning or the smaller B310 units will bolt right in.

But it won't ruin the A12 to run hotter, or if it varies. Don't worry too much. If you want, fit the next size bigger radiator and then it should calm down.
