HA HA The smile from the exhaust place was big but i had to behave with me misses in the car. Gotta make a better bracket for the accelerator cable and yeah electronic dizzy new plugs leads tune etc few little bugs to iron out and will take it out with some 12 inch rims on the rear for end to ends. Martyg the box is the one that had the broken front cover all the bits from the bluebird TRX box solved that problem.

O.K Peoples. Not sure if anyone remembers or gives a toss but anyway. The guy who did all the rust repairs etc on the coupe (Now supafattos coupe) Was out Sunday and said that Mr Hanky is an easy fix. So with his help Mr Hanky is making a comeback and hes going to be stronger than ever. Going to do what i can and then it goes out his place for some massaging and some replacement panels. Stay Tuned You cant kill the dattos especially Mr Hanky.

The car got assessed yesterday and he said they will just offer to settle due to the quote to repair being $2500. He told me due to the age of the vehicle it doesnt get written off and remains registered.

sounds good- no matter what age the car, if its structually damaged it must be written off. sounds like they are woking around it by not processing it through RTA properly.

either way its a win for you. cash and get to fix and drive the car.

Again the assessor told me its due to the age that they dont write it off. and this is NSW mate not VIC. There is also such thing as a repairable write off where the damage exceeds the value (there estimate based on research)of the car.
