Fibreglass vs Metal

I know there has been a lot of discussion about fibreglass panels of late but I still need some info. Most importantly is the price. How much do wreckers ask for metal panels, such as
bonnets, fenders, front valance etc? And how do these prices compare to the cost of fibreglass ones?
I want to put these panels on a coupe I hope to race in rallying, so will the fibreglass withstand the rough treatment over some pretty shocking roads? Do they crack easily, say if a rock was
to hit a panel at speed?
I just want to work out whether to bother getting some front end panels in fibreglass or just get some metal ones from a wrecker. I need another front valance (piece under the front bumper)
and 1 front fender.
Thanks for any help guys
Simon

Fibreglass can be used on rally cars no problem. My boss uses a fibreglass bonnet, front gaurds and boot but have the metal front apron gaurd cause it cops most of
the rocks and stuff.

Im also after some fibreglass panels for my street/race coupe but cant find any!! Do u know where i could get some??? Cheers
