what about a shorter crossmember...like one that hasnt got the strut parts as high?? would that work aswell?

yeah nah i know what ya mean dattoman i am just trying to lower the engine down 3 cms so that the engine will all sit under without having a hole cut out of the bonnet. i have thought about it and i am thinking i am going to get a mate of mine to make up a couple of new engine mounts just so that the engine sits under with the air filter i have on it

alright guys i just have to big up mike and mal for helping me out i had the wrong engine mount on the datto and thats why she sat so high she was a mount out of a sunny.. now i have the right mounts and she sits under beautifully i am stoked.. now i just have to get a choke cable for her bleed the brakes get a couple of uni joints and she will be moving without having to push it haha. i am so stoked i cant thank the boys enough. i also found out why she wasnt starting properly... stupid battery haha. will be keeping you all posted dont worry. dundee if you can upload those pics if you still have em on your phone that will be muchly appreciated.. thats if they are alright quality haha

tailshaft where???:P i have two but one more might not hurt haha especially if i can slap it straight in:Pand a cruise would be sick as as soon as i get mine on the road:P there are a few dattos around that are near on finished haha looks like i am the quickest one but :P:P i love being a smarty pants

well considering most of the car was already done when you got it it is like cheating....i definately wont be done for a while me thinks that is untill all the rust is gone and fixed but at least mine has a new heart

no it wasnt mr brettski... it was all in the other one i had to put everything into the white one. and have had to get heapppppps of new stuff. but i dont mind i am just happy that i am working on something worthwhile not just a falcon or commondore. keeps me happy thats all that matters.
