bit odd that leccy ign would make it break down, unless the coil can't handle it.. or not enuff max advance..

The problem should have been noticed at the dyno, unless they thought 1000's only rev to 4000rpm! hehe simple mistake.
Last time I took a Subaru for a dyno they blew both head gaskets.
I still think its a fuel pressure issue though.

hears a list of the stuff they did
check and set static timing check advance curves balance and set twin carbies ,set fuel mixture
and replace spark plugs

did a quick check last night and the fuel pressure reg isnt hooked up ( think i forgot to ask him to ) so could that be the problem ? so for me to set that i need a pressure gauge ?

bloody car

Fuel pressure maybe but even the stock pump can keep the pressure right for the carbs so unless you are running super low pressure it ought to work fine.

My twin 45 webers ran on 3.5 - 4.5 psi with an electric pump. So basically same pressure range as mechanical pump.

You should notice if it is a fuel stall as there'd be a bit of a stutter and surge.

When you said it was making the 'brap, brap' sound I immediately thought of ignition (coil n dizzy) and valve train.

Wierd.

I would have thought this is part of the Dyno's job. If you're paying for it then explain to them that that beast is meant to work pretty hard and something isn't right.

Are you running Ram tubes and socks or one of those air box filters??

im running a elecy pump thats ment to push 6psi
so i got the reg to bring it down to 3-4psi

When you said it was making the 'brap, brap' sound I immediately thought of ignition (coil n dizzy) and valve train. **yer i think your right **

just got off the phone then he doesnt know coz he only took it up to the redline that i set, on the shift light but i only set it to that so i didnt rev the motor out when its untuned :( so yer he didnt get to hear it but from wat i told him he thinks spark/elecy

im running Ram tubes and socks
