EFI is magic when programmed properly, but I'm gonna run twin 40mm sidies on mine. Aaah the tuning is painfull but the sound is awesome!

I have to agree that initial tune is critical,
but after that it's basic maintenance.. no different to syncing throttle bodies and setting base idle etc..
I'd be happy to see a HP improvement Over carbs with EFI, if you can prove it???

I dont think that it is the HP improvment over carbs that injection gets its big win. That comes from tunability and realibility. Yes you have to learn how to tune efi properly, but you have to learn about carbs too at some stage. Each is complicatied to understand properly and requries effort to learn.

But in order to realibly prove an HP improvemnt would require having a complety tuned carb engine measured then converted to efi and measure again without any other changes. Thats nealry impossible to do. Hec, just changing the manifold to suit means the results are skewed. Anyone test on any one engine does not make it a rule, mearly a single example of that engine. I could go on about the scientific method, but i think you get the point.

Also dundee, using the premise of "You cant PROVE that efi is better therefore carbs must be" isnt really anything at all. You cant fool me with false logic...

Factory EFI is smooth ... more important to me than the absolute HP level. Perfect throttle response and good power.
