I want to get the tailgate shaved on my ute and want to know how hard it would be to do myself or what it would cost to get it done professionaly,

so u want no bummpers no latch ?
or no bummpers no latch and welded shut tail gate ?

with a mig and a free weekend you could do it your self
or 1000 - 2000 for some one to do it ( all painted up )

i did mine my self didnt take that long and it helps brace the car :) hers some progress pics

yeh mate I want it just like that, I was looking at your project forum and saw u did it yourself but looked hard to do lol, do u have any tips to get it done well or just get in there and weld it up lol

oh and were did u get ur hard top?? im after 1 of those aswell

what have you done to ensure no rust will rust??

i got sheet metal and pressed it to the shape and welded it in to make the gaps tight but was a lot of stuffing around if i did it again i would weld the tail gate . its just get in there and do it realy but make shore things are straight befor welding :)

o yer hard cover was custom made befor maddat started selling there one was a lot of work and didnt like it in the end

rust wize bare metal and etch primer then primer and paint
