Ok guys, I am starting to wonder if i have bitten off more than i can chew!
I've taken the engine out & it sitting in immy's garage (ta for that mate!) & i wrote up a list of wht i would like/need to sort out on my datto.... Tell me what you guys think: ITEM Price Fuel pump 10 Oil pump 10 Water pump 10 Gasket set 25 Main bearing 22 Big-end bearing 13 Oil filter 5 Fuel filter 2 Cone air filter 30 Tapet cover clean 5 A14 pistons/rings 95 ENGINEERING Cam grind 50 Flywheel lighten 20 Crank balance 20 Block bore 50 Head recon/port/polish 30 CONSUMABLES Engine oil 25 Coolant 15 Engine cleaner 10 Fan belt 5 Silicone 5 Spark plugs 20 HT Leads 20 Total so far US$500.!!! & thats just on my engine!!!! so im upto US$500 on my engine & US$350 for the panel beating & respray.... I have another list of stuff that needs to be done (no prices though): BODY / MECHANICAL Shocks / coils Exhaust system Recon wiper motor Recon starter motor Recon alternator Wing mirrors Rearview mirror Brakes - relining/recon seatbelts Headlight upgrade Spotlight install Rims Tyres Fender flares Upholstry Front seat swap Dash board swap Sports pedals Decals Window tint What do you think of all this now? I could possibly buy a car for cheaper than i can recon my 1200!!!

Is that all in us$ and when you say balance crank is that just the crank or the rods pistons flywheel presure plate and front pully because thats what it should consist of. Cheers

all prices in US.... & as i understood it, the cank grind will be to balance the lightened flywheel .

1000Coupe Please explain: good progress there, make sure u use rust converter and fish oil or similar on the back of the panelsover a wider area than the plates u have put in,
The "oil" part please; is this some panel beating magic. I'm feeling quite dump here, as far as my knowledge stretch, oil on the surface of parts that needs a spray job is bad.

Its not for the side you going to spray it for the back of the panel. Or thats how I understand it

Ok, I was really pissed off with the panel beater coz he was meant to have test sprayed an area & waited for my go ahead to spray the whole car. I think his partner was getting impatient coz my car has been there a while now.
Ive attached some #OOPS#ty pics that i took with my phone: there wer a couple of things that i still wanted done like blanking the hole where an alarm switch was fitted on the passenger door, etc.... what you guys think of it? Looks really nice mate, nice front spoiler too. Is it for a 1200 or something else fitted up?

i think its for 1200... from how it fits there was no mods needed.
