Is that all in us$ and when you say balance crank is that just the crank or the rods pistons flywheel presure plate and front pully because thats what it should consist of. Cheers

Ok guys, I am starting to wonder if i have bitten off more than i can chew!
I've taken the engine out & it sitting in immy's garage (ta for that mate!) & i wrote up a list of wht i would like/need to sort out on my datto....
Tell me what you guys think:

Total so far US$500.!!!
& thats just on my engine!!!! so im upto US$500 on my engine & US$350 for the panel beating & respray....
I have another list of stuff that needs to be done (no prices though):
BODY / MECHANICAL Shocks / coils Exhaust system Recon wiper motor Recon starter motor Recon alternator Wing mirrors Rearview mirror Brakes - relining/recon seatbelts Headlight upgrade Spotlight install Rims Tyres Fender flares Upholstry Front seat swap Dash board swap Sports pedals Decals Window tint
What do you think of all this now? I could possibly buy a car for cheaper than i can recon my 1200!!!

Hey bro I was wondering how long it would take before you posted these pictures.I am jealous now so can I have my spoiler back and all the other stuff I said I would give you I am keeping ...ha...ha...ha I am happy to see another Datto given a second chance so I will help with what I can bro.Still have oil,water & fuel pumps for you.

Hey Ethan looking good how far from sa border are you because a rust converter is the way to go in sa we have a product called NS4 That will do the job. As for body panels you can get new aftermarket doors fenders bonnet and so on.

Cool, i will try to get some type of product to put behind the panels to stop or at least slow down the return of rust.
I'm planning to start saving now for a proper rebuild in a few years time... thats when im going to strip it down to the chasis & replace whole panels if they will still be available....
Should be taking the engine out today or tommorow so i can start on that. Also getting the panel beater to spay the underneath with 'stonechip' - a rubberiser type thing to stop rust underneath.

good progress there, make sure u use rust converter and fish oil or similar on the back of the panelsover a wider area than the plates u have put in,
otherwise when the rust is that bad it will just come back further around the pieces u put in.
