I have never been a fan of fill and redrill of weber jets. I have read articles which dont give favourable optimum performance when done. From memory genuine weber jets are "size stamped" only after being tested for there flow characterisics instead of the diameter of the hole drilled in them.

Unfortuantely it looks like you dont have much of an option though. For tuning purposes I would fill and drill the jet and after tuning, I would replace the jet with a new one in that desired size.

is automotive tuning centre in welshpool still open?
Darrell Penley used to always have weberised rally and race cars on the dyno all the time there.
but I also think the good old 'tune by ear' guys are getting rather thin on the ground
