#1 alignment tool

hi guys

does anyone know of any auto shops that would carry an alignment tool for 1200 clutch?
repco? nissan maybe?
have tried wrapping some tape around my extension pole but this just doesnt cut it

oh and i would have chopped up my broom already but i realised i dont have anything to grind it down with
any help is very useful at the moment

you can normally get it pretty close by eye.
ive never used one of those clutch aligning tools, never had the need really.

Supercheap, repco. Any auto parts store should carry it.

Otherwise if you have a dead A12 gearbox use the input shaft from it...

will give it another go tomoro by eye
then if failure drive around a few parts stores tomoro theres about 4 pretty local

What I do is put the clutch cover bolts on finger tight, so it can move just a little. Shove the box up in there. Remove the box tighten the bolts. Then put the box in for good.

This spring I bought an alignment tool at the swap meet for $1, it fits Datsuns plus other cars and is made of plastic. So next time it should be easier!

I was going to say this, this is how I did the clutch last time on the sr. But the motor was out of the car. Might be a bit more difficult with the motor in the car

otherwise look up aust clutch services, they sell plastic input shafts for almost anything.

i have a cut up input shaft if u want borrow going down ur way tomoz to, pm if u want.
