In one of the Old skool specials of hot fours i have i found an Orange 1200 ute 'IDTIGR' owned byJoe Barticcio, not my taste as its a bit show car spec for me however it is a gorgeous vehicle and i have respect for Joe and his build. what interested me was the dash and power window conversion.

I'm a big fan of the stock old school dash however when the motor conversion is done i was hoping tha the dash would read overthe 240km/h mark as thats what the motor will handle and seeings as how i havent found a replacement guae that will fit into the dash now i'm thinking of a similar path to Joe. i wouldnt have a tan colour just a nice clean black.

If you are going that fast in a datsun, you dont want to be concentrating on the speedo. I like the retro look though, goodluck.

I love it. Is there any more info on the swap. everything around here seemed to be 2" too wide that i looked at.

My Coupe

Check out my Coupe. I like the retro look of the 1200 dash, so fitted VDO Electronic speedo and tacho. Speedo is easy as the setup with CA18DET or simular and they do 300 kph version as well.

Frank(Jake) has a G200 charade dash from memory. It had to be extensivly modified to fit, it needs to be cut down and then re-fibreglassed.

not sure what the speedo goes up to though? 180kph by the look of it.

S13 can be adapted so i hear, about same amount of work.
