Will post pics of 4 different shafts tomorrow all Auto and All different lengths. Have figured if i can get someone to swap the the 120y Borgy yoke (diff end) on to 1200 Auto tail shaft will be in business. Thanks guys for ya input getting there just gotta remember to breathe and come up for air occasionally. Also measured the box out of the car and its same length as Stumpy box 660mm so that aint me problem and motor isnt to far back as i have bugger all room at front for fan and radiator but i'll get there.

I don't think you'll find anything that fits (bolt in) unless its from a 120y with borgy and auto originally...

Locally I pay $100 balanced for shorten and extra 40 each uni if they need doing... might be the best and easiest option.

mmm i wonder whats going on then, if its same as short stumpy box (all my 4 speeds are same) so wonder whats going on?
whats the length of the tail shaft? is it 100% out of auto? difference in length sounds like it might be manual one.

so we know h145 auto and h145 work. i dont understand how h15o auto and h150 dont work or bw taily and bw diff.

measure length of h145 and bw tailshafts from flange to cup and the length of input shaft into the box.

Yeah but when I used the borgy stuff it was all 1200 borgy stuff, guess he's got a 120y borgy diff with 1200 borgy tailshaft... wont work, the BW68(120y) is different from the 1200 one, bigger and larger like a corolla one. So probably longer in the nose too.

h150 would be no issues then probably, nose is similar to h145 not bw in length.

Question. Is the tailshaft that you have in now from an auto 1200 with H145? Or even auto 120Y with H150? Because the BW68 is longer like the H165. The tailshaft needed is from 120Y BW68 auto.

O.k the diff is BW68 120y borg warner the tail shaft is 120y Auto From BW 68 borg warner model. So its the matching one for diff but its to long by over an inch more like 2 inches. Will go see if some local mechanic i know can swap them over as mentioned previously then go from there. Funny thing i have a 1200 auto shaft here that was cut and shut for ute diff to SR box its great length but wrong end for BW 68 diff.

did you pull the tailshaft out of a complete auto 120y? or are you just going off what someone has told you?

coz i'd be saying that its the problem, as there shouldnt be that much of a difference....as its not like you have a whole heap of choice as to where an L series ends up in a 1200 engine bay
