Hi Team,

I compiled some information from the Forums on swapping Rotor into Datsun 1200: Mazda rotary engine swap

Don't worry about Editing. As long as you don't delete anything but just add to it, no one will complain.

Feedback on the article or wiki in general is welcome.

Enjoy!

this would be an interesting conversion in a 1200
The power of these engines and their ability to rev compared to the size is pretty amazing

Too bad 13b NA , 1200 isnt legal in most oz states because each rotor counts as 1.3ltr

Dozens of Datsun1200.com members have a rotary in their 1200. The fastest 1200s have rotaries. The world's fastest rotary-engined car is a 1200. They go together like chocolate and peanut butter.

Those engines can rev up to 13000 rpm easy with a mild bridge, and a racing beat intake with a holley 750 double pumper and a racing beat header

this is a great start! well done! there are things like sump and cross member mods to sit the motor lower that could be covered. modding the wiring, oil cooler mounting is a bit of a head ache. not forgetting to mention the fuel system either. i guess if people are interested they can just contact those of us who have done it.

agasin, well done

puerto rican's love the rotary/1200 combo.

I'll agree that the fastest 1200's have rotaries but the quickest rotary is Abel Ibarra's RX8.
