If it is a square healight model with the rear tail light in tact and in good condition, consider it sold.

Edit: will ring the owner tomorrow.

It is and the rear is magic, it even has an excellent condition sun louvre on the tailgate. I didnt have a camera when I went to see it, this old dude is 74 years old, I met him at the wreckers when he rolled up with his 1200 ute and almost had a heart attack when he saw my 1000 wagon. He came up and we chatted datsuns for ages and he said he had the sunny coupe at home if I wanted to look at it so I went and here we are.
I have to say if I didnt have so many projects (5 of them) I would be glad to make it better than the red one pictured (need better flares and leave original front chin spoiler at least). Its metallic burgundy in colour with cream interior, I reckon it would make a perfect track or drift car.

I might add that although 30 times cheaper than an Toyota Ae86
its not far off in looks and potential, in fact it has more RWD engine
choices than an Ae86 or hatchi roku and better parts availability.

edit: square headlights

ITEM:
Last of the rwd sunny coupes
CONDITION:
good original condition

REASON FOR SELLING:
Onwer just needed running gear for his 1200 ute

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS:
$300 ono pick up

EXTRA INFO:
Has a little rust easily fixed on drivers door, bottom of rear sill
near the rear guard has the most which is not unusual but the passenger
side is perfect, there is some on bonnet frame (easily replaced from sunny sedan) and a few sections on the Scuttle Panel none around windows or
anywhere else, easy fixer.
Ive seen other Sunny coupes that werent near as good as this one for rust.
Good to get it back on the road or as a race or drift car using SR20de, ca18 or even L series turbo (huge engine bay) Car was regularly serviced until the rego came off a couple of years ago and where she sat.
Jack the current owner drove her home on a permit and said the brakes are perfect and drove better than his 1984 datsun ute.
Will need the areas repaired I mentioned which is quite easy and
a the drivers bonnet and right hand guard repaired or replaced due
to a dent.
Id say it needs a day of body work and you have a great rare example
of the car that was raced and conquered many more powerful cars in Japan.
All the interior is there, its a complete running car minus running gear.
It seems it was never molested with stock trimming all round, good bumpers,
very straight body throughout apart from dented front driver guard and a few
little shopping trolley dents, passenger side is excellent.

LOCATION:
Reservoir

CONTACT:
Jack - 9460 6228 before 9am-8pm dude was born in 1935 so be respectful
as he is a nice old man and loves his home brew.

PICTURES:
none - go and have a look!!

Id say with flares, wheel, tires, L series, lowered and
a little body work will look like the following...
