There was a Sports Sedan running in some hillclimbs here in NSW. It was a late model RX7, which is what a FC3S is, with an SR20DET in it. Haven't heard about any on the street. Cant see the advantage, you'd be hated by the Mazda guys & the Nissan guys. I'd thought the engine would be too tall to fit under the bonnet.

Would it be possible to get a late model Nissan Micra, fit the 1.8 litre motor from a Tiida & then turbocharged it? Your answer must include parts numbers for the conversion. You have 12 months. Commence.

yeah i have had a pretty solid search on the net for some
i found one which was a project car and they cut the bonnet out abit.
i would run the wankel till it died, like flog the hell out of it
then put in an sr20det, really its just for something different, and for a drift car rotors sound silly unless they have had millions of $$ spent on them

Personally I would go 20B as you'll still be different and you'll be keeping it rotary, or just rebuild the current 13B.

If you search on somewhere like rx7club.com you'll find one with an SR in it.

That and an endless supply of cash. How much is a 20B worth to build these days? The eccentric shaft and the ignition are the expensive part. Last I heard a few years back you wouldn't get much change from $15K or more.

You can get an import 20B for about $5k. Depends on how far you want to take it. You could spend $15k rebuilding most engines. But you could get away with much less.

There's only a handful of triple rotor's in Australia. All have come at enormous expense. Where can you import on of these from? What have they been released in, if anything?
