now have another wagon roof sitting here. will be starting to cut the skin off the donor roof during the week if im not stuck in court to long (jury duty...yay)

also pricing up forged pistons and rods for the CA...anyone want to buy my L18 to make building the CA so much easier?

cant you just be biased and prejudice like every one else in the world and they have to excuse you?

You probably already thought it but would strongly recommend bracing the pillars before removing your old roof just to keep things in line.

only removed the skin, which is all done now. got pics too....but still dont have internet at home so pics will have the wait

after cutting the frame off the donor roof is was pretty clear that it has all the strength, the skin does nothing

Well that's not 100% correct, the skin/roof adds quite a bit of overall strength and rigidity especially on a wagon. Trust me i've seen what can happen.

yeah but with the car sitting perfectly still with no weight on it at all it cant see the tiny bit less strength it has with no roof skin bothering it

anyways, got a new modem so i can get back to posting pics

haha nah i just give it a bit of a rub down every now and then leigh and it seems fine...my super dodgy garage seems to actually keep a bit of moisture out. just if the house would follow its lead
