Yeah i had 2.5 on the sedan. But it went noticably better with just the dump pipe on. So i figured 3" would be the go this time. There is a little more room under the wagon than the sedan had so i might get lucky. Havent talked to the engineer yet. So i guess it will be 96db then

what kinda muffler/mufflers did you run in yours. And howd you go fitting a cat?

got some more pics. decided to try and capture the front camber in a picture as it looks ridiculous, ridiculously cool that is, but still ridiculous

Cant tell a bit more when you look at the front compared to the rear

So i made the exhaust, about $500 later for just the materials. that includes the dump pipe flange and 2 mufflers. but not the CAT

tried to get the exhaust up as high as possible, think it ended up with about 10mm clearance to everything and the lowest point is 85mm from the ground. but the front ride height needs to come up a little so it should end up around legal height

need to put more solid mounts at the middle muffler though as the standard hangers dont really do the job as the exhaust jumps up and hits the body over bumps, think its only hitting the bump stop thats above the muffler as no paint has been taken off anywhere

now im just changing all the things that i think i need to change for engineers

so the spool is out and an open centre is back in....which makes driving out of corners a lot less fun as it just spins up one wheel and stops moving then tramps a whole heap when it gets close to traction

rear brakes have been swapped back to the standard R31 setup so that i can have a handbrake, actually improved the brake feel a whole heap as they are a sliding caliper so the movement in the rear wheel bearings doesnt seem to push the piston back in
will be using the ball bearing replacment wheel bearings when the 32 brakes go back on which should eliminate teh axle just cruising all over the place and giving really long brake pedal travel

handbrake has been moved back so that it clears the shifter

front end and handbrake cable brackets are tomorrows job. gotta get rid of a bit of camber and track width so its a little less obviously wide to the engineer. will see what i can do with the camber tops, but i think i'll have to shorten some control arms to get then camber right without the tires hitting the guards

so its all pretty close to engineerable

really looks forward to that being out of the way so i can get it tuned and start on the rear end. as the axle tramp and the tires scrubbing on the inner guards is rather annoying
control arms, adjustable panhard and adjustable height should make for a much nicer car to drive

did he say anything about yours? guess mine is probably a touch wider and more noticeable than yours though

ive just got standard late 120y LCAs in mine, not lengthened at all. will see how it looks with the camber tops wound back out as it should pull the bottom of the tire in a bit

Nup, its a factory part. Just listed the parts and he listed them down.
Mines not as wide as yours.

Love the thump print on the fresh paint on exhaust just behind rear muffler near diff hahaha. That's,my kind of attention to details lol.

Remember the engineer approved mine with 2 inch flares filled out around the car, the new suspension and diff you have put in are designed for that track so it is ok

interesting, wonder if he would mind that the rear is close to stock and the front is about 2 inches wider. was mainly trying to make the camber a little more subtle
