On the weekend i got the brake line that i was waiting on and fitted it up today and dropped the motor in. I found it abit hard to put the gearbox in so i think i might need my mates hoist. Next i think i might start on hiding wiring and fitting up the cooler.
Just a quick photo of what the motor looks like sitting there. ![]() ![]()

Got some more pictures of the sunny, slowly putting thing back together in the engine bay... brake booster + brake lines stuff like that.
![]() Painted all the motor to give it a nice clean look. Not to sure about the flick paint affect but i guess its different. Looking at another set of cover's and just paint them straight yellow like the body colour ( if anyone has a set laying around ) ![]() ![]()

freakyca theres nothing wrong with reduceing it to 2.5 over the diff unless ur running big power(200kw+) it will proberly be a improvement, when i had my wrx a heap of us had our diff back reduced to 2.5 from 3" one bloke even went to the trouble of before and after dynos results were quite alot more torque thru the mid range and no power loss up top actually made .1kw more lol so much better for the street, xforce even make an off the self exhaust with 3" dump,3" mid section and 2.5" over the diff.
by the time the gasses get to the diff they have cooled a bit so has reduced expansion

I have the fun of exhaust to go but a fair way away yet.. Let us know how it turns out.
I wanted to run 14s myself but they won't fit over the brakes. Really want some 15" hubbies but i've only seen them on a rolls royce!

Yeah i got a 3' exhaust but does look tight near the tank and as well near the back wheels. I had 7' wide wheels and they just clear the exhaust.
Looking to change it to 2 1/2 just over the diff.

you wouldnt happen to know if it uses the 200b spring and seat or modified to the sunny springs and seats? by the pic it looks to still be 200b(springs/seats are a larger diameter than sunny/120y etc)
