sweet Leigh !! cant believe i hadnt seen this thread yet ?! (well i can considering how little i get on here these days ?!)
manifold came up a treat and the head work looks great ! looks like you've won the race on the throttle bodies ;) although i will have my manifold by the end of march !! 13 months in the making !! and a bigger block to start playing with :D the headers look nice and smooth on the bends, should flow easy ! are they 'off the shelf' mandrel bends ? what dia did you go with ? nice job on the engine mount to !! there's stuff all room thru there and around the idler arm :) the star sharks are a nice looking period rim ... might be a bit to much on the sleeper tho ... feel free to send them my way if do :) gotta luv waiting on the slow boat from the land of the rising sun ;)

Looking the goods, I've got an A15 in the garage that wants to go EFI at some stage....might look to your car for some 'inspiration'.
Of course I have to get the CA car up and running first.

a hint for you mildman dont go the mitsubishi manifold route for EFI, just too much stuffing around and you would be better either buying some throttle bodies with injector boss's in them or custom building your own.

looking very nice, custom extractors is a fair effort!
what is the ultimate plan with this car? still racing the 1600?

thanks fellas! well its getting there slowly the head isn't on that motor i'm going to get it running on the stock a14 and then build the motor once its all up and running. The exhaust is going to be 2 inch (i think) the bends all came from jordi stainless and its been a fairly large pain in the ass but will be worth it!
The interior is in good nick except for the front seats (as with most 1000's) so they have been replaced with some nx coupe fronts as they are still fairly short to keep it looking ok. RC, i'm still racing the 1600 but its getting some love to be used in my wedding so a paint job and a turbo upgrade to a gt3071r and external gate are all happening before october. The 1000 will soon resume daily duties once its done. cmon boof, join the quads revolution! The megasquirt is now up and running so i need to finish wiring it in and then all the little fiddly bits come into play. i'm hoping end of march/early april to be back on the road. i'll post some more pics as we go

I could get someone to maybe... it took me a long time - the beauty about them is the price if you do them yourself. You can buy them finished and tested from the states tho.

That head from Bige is a work of art, very impressive.
And nice job on the extractors!

looking good!
where do you buy the pipe sections and mandrels from? are they thick walled material? im going to make a nice new set for my ute at some stage, should be an easier task than yours with just the 2 pipes though hopefully we will get a look at your beast in a couple of weeks! You can view topic.
