I'm not sure we will get them, just the same as we have no annual road worthy inspections over here. We do have the 'hoon' crushing laws now, so I guess a 'P' plater can drive a 'hoon' car just so long as they don't drive like a hoon (or their car will be crushed along with all other hoons what ever their age quick smart!)

either way he will be off his ps by the time it is full on ready fellas. go for gold son. the thing will either way be a beast. its a datto for crying out loud lol they are beasty no matter what ya put in them haha aslong as they are neat and not just a bush hack i am pretty sure every datto driver will not complain what he puts in there. if he can take it back to stock without butchering it up then that is an easy fix.. dude i hope to see this car one day even the ute but im in perth so its highly unlikely :( lol

but he would be on his p's?
and someone with there p's cant drive a turbo engine, also, they cant drive a car that has had an engine swap, unless, say you bought the bottom of the range acar and the top of the range had a "sports" engine, you can swap that and i dont think 1200's came with cadet engines?

And he can drive it in SA to!!!

The CA will be reliable for a daily if its relatively stock. As far as not butchering it, I have only had to cut one hole (for the gear stick), as i didn't want to completely cut the car up. So it is possible to put it back to standard if anyone really wanted to.
Ultimately it's your car so good luck which ever way you go.

you can get a 1200 engineered in SA with a ca18det and even sr20det if you wanted to ... i agree with the s13 upgrade, much better than stanza stuff and i'd be willing to help ya out with the machining if ya want
