Chris get a cheap running a12 with stock oval port a14 or a15 head fitted and run those quad mikunis, extractors, mild cam and flywheel.
Keep your A10 in the shed oiled up and save the beast for your other project. Youll find the mikuni setup very responsive and all you need to enjoy the feeling of a sports car with class.

u could run it in the red one until u r ready to put it in your other one, then put the a10 back in the red one, or would that mean shipping a whole engine rather than just parts to PNG later.

Haha we all have our steady growing stash of toys.
These were "stolen" (if that's what you call it) from Kameari USA.

So since my B10 in PNG is buried in the depths of a 40ft container while I'm studying in Australia, I've been working on getting a decent performance engine to suit the little B10.
Just got a second job so HOPEFULLY I can keep things progressing at a reasonable pace. At the moment I'm still pretty hesitant on dropping the A12 gear in the beaut little B10 as she's VERY nice as she is. So hopefully if things workout well another B10 will come up for sale and I can put the engine into that and the Red B10 can go back into storage. Here are a few pictures to show what's going on. I'm about to rebuild the engine, nothing drastic just a new set of rings, a decent hone, a bit of measuring and checking to confirm everything is square (or round for that matter) and then I'll probably enlist the help of a mechanic to get everything timed in nicely. Here goes. Listing off some of the goodies in no particular order. Just like my B10 in PNG most of these parts have been collected over the last year, big money for a one-off purchase, but not so hard on the wallet if they're bought over time. Bargains take time....mostly waiting & watching. The black & white photo's are just as the camera is. It appears since the recent "Souf Ostraya" Datsun party my camera seems to have a hang-over (stuck on black & white). Twin 45 Weber DCOE's on a manifold match ported to the GX head. ![]() Bell-mouth velocity stacks - 82mm across the flare ![]() Adjustable timing gear - awesome piece of craftsmanship ![]() Double valve springs suited for race use - may or may not use these in this build ![]() Ported GX head - Intake Ports Measure: 40mm x 31mm - Exhaust Ports Measure: 28mm x 30mm ![]() Lightened & Edged Crankshaft ![]() Lightened perforated flywheel- I need to confirm it's weight yet on precision scales ![]() Custom made extractors, used but were on a performance engine with a GX head & similar induction so it should perform ![]() There are a heap of other things to go on but I'll update those in a few weeks. Here is the host for the engine......maybe. ![]() Cheers You can view topic.
