Rezlo I'm sitting here with the Motorsports catalog: There are Flat Tops (10-1?)for L18 12010-P8612 is the .040 set, Arias (12-1 I think) 9996-D1067B. Camshafts were the SSS Cam .434 Lift/248 duration and Rally Cam 475 lift with 290 duration. Heads listed are Comp 11041-V9182 and SSS head 11041-U0600A. Turbo rod bolts with 13 stamped on them 6 short 11056-P7600 4 long 11059-P7600 with washers 11058-21001. Valves listed in 42mm 43mm 44mm Intake / 33mm 35mm exhaust........the larger intake sizes needing optional seats. SSS distributor is listed as D409-54K
I'm "told" that a SSS motor with lightly ported head was 140hp-ish but there are guys on here running L18's and they'd know better than I would. I'd go with the SSS Cam if it doesn't already have it, extractors port job for a start.............that should make it go decently well

Hi rezlo if you could maybe change the su's for weber sides ishky (if thats how you spell it) makes a range of cams for the L motor with nice double valve springs and retainers. One of the guys I know here in cpt had a L20 that made 128kw with 270nm on the wheels with 40sides a billet 306 deg cam crane springs in a w53 head the sub was all local parts with no arp stuff all datsun. He says the best motor he has built for a oval track car made 147kw on the wheels

Thats some nice power figures! Is the same power achievable with a bored out L16?
