#1 Webber Accelerator Cable WA
Adam12 Posted on: 2009/10/10 4:25
Hey gents
I have a DGV on my A15.
Can't work out how the accelerator cable is mounted.
I have the wire attached to the throttle linkage easy enough but I dont have anything to actually hold the cable outer sleave in place.
Apart from the clip on the rocker cover.
Does anyone have the clamp bit that fits on the end of the cable....

Cheers

Adam

Some carbies have a separate arm that mounts the throttle cable, it is a right angled arm with a little locating lug & a bolt hole. With the weber I usually mount it on the stud at the back of the carby closest to the head. I've seen other ways to mount it, but always used the system I described.

Just take some thickness flat stock, bend a 90-degree and bolt it on. connect the cable to this bracket with a small stainless hose clamp.

The metal needs to be thick enough not to flex. Or you could use two of them on both side of the cable.
