It is not like the Anti Hoon Laws were introduced yesterday. Cop it on the chin and learn from your mistake. Imagine that some idiot doing the same thing just killed someone you love. It is usually only the people that can't think of anybody but themselves that recommit stupid offences.

It wasn't until I met my wife had my own family that I started to see these things in another light. Yes I too have been stupid and Yes I have learned from it. I am not Bart Simpson getting re zapped by a cupcake so I am at least smarter than a hamster!

And robocop, if that is your real name, are you suggesting that you have to be a hoon to be on a forum? That would have to be one of the most naive things I have ever heard. I doubt that you would even be a cop at all, I'd say security guard or bouncer at best.

i worrie more about the person not paying attention . i havnt had a close call with a ''hoon'' but had HEAPS with average every day people doing the speed limit . the hoon has been a eazy target for a long time due to advertizing i find when im pushing the car/bike im 200% focus's unlike all the "good'' drivers doing there makeup brushing there teeth texting playing with there ipod

I have no problem with people doing whatever they want in whatever they want, but time and a place.
2 guys drag racing here in Adelaide at 5.30pm, guy in a corolla pulls out in front and is hit and killed. Sure, he should have seen 2 WRX's coming at him flat out, but it is certainly not above expectation to think they should be doing 'around' 60kmh in a 60 zone. Late at night on a deserted stretch of back highway somewhere, all they have to hurt is themselves, no issue.
Time and a place.

hmmm... i agree with what u guys are saying... there is a time and place for everything. altho i think the "hoon" laws are a bit over the top. when i first got my licence i was pulled over 3 times in 3 days same place after skool for an RBT, in my stock standard 120Y.
afew weeks after that i got puled over again (same place) out the front of a primary skool, and received a speeding ticket for 45 in a school zone at 3:57pm (3 mins before school zones end). I think this is a real joke. I copped a $300 fine and loss of licence for 3 months. I understand the laws are there for a reason. but this to me seems like a joke.

I just yesterday saw a young guy get a little too keen and wreck his formerly real sweet 1200 sedan. it was a total fvcking waste. He was fukcing lucky not to be hurt. Lessons learned hard are well learned, but it's a real shame a 1200 had to die though. But he was still lucky. could have been much much worse.

Tossers who get sprung make me laugh.

123 in a 60 zone is something like about 140% OVER & above the limit & that's going to be hard to justify.

Like has been said, ... time & place, & we have seen too many Datsuns on this forum that were wrecked by people that thought they could drive. They couldn't, & one member was the [surviving] passenger in a 1600 that was involved in a single vehicle a fatal [driver] not all that long ago.
He too thought he could drive.

The 'hoon' laws were enacted for a reason, now see if you can figure out why before laughing at the "do gooders".

ah jordy, wrx was the cop car
when i was a kid if you were cutting sick somewhere safe (ie:3am in a deserted industrial area) they would cut you a little slack. but too many #OOPS#wits are screaming through school zones at 3.30 in the afternoon.SO we all pay
now we get no slack thanks to idiots wrecking it for everyone

(k dogg :not commenting on your situation as i dont know the details, just speaking generally)
