Sure, and Formula 1 engines rev to 18,500. They use air valves instead of steel spring valves.

Hi my dads owned alot of datsuns in his time and he told me that he bought this 120y race car and it had a a12 motor in it and it had v8 vavle springs out of a holden would that make the car rev to 13500 rpm?
