Figure 'C' is open chamber. All the others are closed chamber.

Generally speaking, open chamber reduces spikes in temperature, hence reducing NOx pollution. However, closed chamber more thoroughly burns the mixture, resulting in best power and fuel economy.

Heaps of help. I took the off last night, its a closed chamber same as A or B and has deep dished pistons. I also read aidaniels build and did,nt read anything about his head, but may have missed it.
